2026 Swim Team Practice Times
REGULAR SEASON:
Standard Practice Schedule Starts – June 1st through July 25th
- Tuesday – Friday Mornings
- 7:30 - 9:00 am (more advanced/10 and up)
- 9:00 - 10:00 am (beginner/9 and under)
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday Evenings
- 6:00 - 7:00 pm (beginner/9 and under)
- 7:00 - 8:00 pm (more advanced/10 and up)

The Genesee Mountain Thunder swim team consists of children ages 5-18 who practice daily at the Foothills neighborhood pool in the beautiful Genesee mountains of Golden. We are part of the Foothills Swim Association (FSA) and participate in organized summer swim meets with other FSA teams in Jefferson County from Memorial Day through the end of July. We have been active with FSA swimming for 43 years.
Genesee Mountain Thunder, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was established solely to provide children in Genesee and the surrounding communities with the opportunity to develop their swimming skills, to promote good sportsmanship in competitive aquatics, and to encourage exercise and build character in a fun summer team environment.
The swim team is run by a volunteer parent board.
We swim at the Foothills Pool Genesee located at 1985 Foothills Drive South in Genesee.
