Summer Swim Team

We are part of the Foothills Swim Association (FSA) and have been part of the Genesee community for more than 40 years.

Our goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where swimmers of all ability levels can improve their skills, build confidence and sportsmanship, and enjoy being part of a team.

• Ages 5–18: Swimmers are grouped for practices based on age and ability.
• All ability levels welcome: From swimmers working toward their first length of the pool to athletes competing at League and State.
• Summer season: Practices and meets generally run from late May through July.
• Community-focused: In addition to swimming, we host social events that give swimmers and families opportunities to get to know one another.
• Individual development: Our coaches work with swimmers at their current level and help them set and achieve individual goals.
• Part of the FSA: Genesee Mountain Thunder competes against other Foothills Swim Association teams throughout Jefferson County.

Genesee Mountain Thunder is entirely volunteer-run by parents. Our volunteer parent board manages the organization, and parent volunteers make it possible to run our meets, events and other team activities throughout the summer. Visit the Volunteer Points tab for more information.
