After School Practice Update – No Friday Practice, Monday/Tuesday in Idaho Springs

Due to the anticipated snowstorm tomorrow, we are CANCELING Friday's practice. Looking ahead to next week, since the weather still looks cool for Monday and Tuesday, we will continue to swim at the Clear Creek Rec Center in Idaho Springs. Don’t forget to RSVP just to make sure we have enough swimmer coaches on deck. My hope is we will practice at the Foothills pool starting Wednesday.

Kick off Barbecue - This Sunday from 4:30pm to 8:00pm

Our Swim Team Kick-Off is this Sunday. It will start at 4:30pm with parent and swimmer orientations followed by a potluck team building event. It is exciting to see so many new families join the swim team. We hope everyone can attend as this is a great early season team builder. RSVP and sign-up to bring side dishes, desserts, or volunteer to grill on the Events and Meets tab of our website.

• For us parents, the Coach Andi and Swim Team Board will provide an overview of the Swim Team, the Foothills Swim League, swim meet fundamentals, parent responsibilities, and answer your questions to make this summer a success. Please reply to this email any questions you want covered so we may incorporate them into the presentation.
• For our kiddos, the Assistant and Swimmer Coaches will introduce themselves, answer their questions, and teach them the team cheer.

Genesee Foundation's Pool Safety Day - Noon to 2pm

Just a reminder, for the Genesee Foundation families, that the community is holding a Pool Safety Day event Sunday early afternoon. If you are available and would like to volunteer to help setup/take down, serve hot dogs and drinks, and oversee kid pool games. Please email [email protected] your interest. Kids, if you go, remember to wear your swim team t-shirts to the event.
