Updated League Information & Parent Participation Requirements

    Happy Monday,

I hope everyone was able to get some rest after a couple great days of fast swimming!  Looking ahead to this weekend's League meet, I have some additional information.  I have also attached the FSA League document with key pieces of information related to Parking, Timing and Warm-ups

    • Friday night - the 400 freestyle - will be held at 6th Avenue Pool.  Parents, if you have a swimmer competing, you will need to time for them.  Each swimmer must bring their own lap counter and timer.
    • Saturday - Main Event - Splash.  We have been assigned parking as our team job, several timing shifts, and officiating responsibilities.  We need all families with competitors supporting these jobs.  I rebuilt the job sign-ups, so if you had previously signed-up you will need to do it again.  You will notice we no longer need to time first shift.  I was able to get 5 Parks to take our 3 first shift timing requirements, leaving us only to fill 5 timing jobs for the day.  (This change has yet to be reflected in the attached document.)

Our parking job is going to be early (5:15am - 8:30am).  The good thing is we will be done with the majority of the requirements before the meet begins.  Does anyone have walkie/talkies?  We need a way to communicate between the road and parking lot. I will pass on additional information related to parking this week during practices.

I do not know yet where our team tent will be situated, we will be receiving a map on its location.  All families and kids are asked to stay at the team tent.  I will tell you, with 8 teams competing and the splash area opening to the public at 10am, Splash is going to be nuts. You may only be able to congregate on the pool deck when you have a swimmer competing.  Timers will have the best seat in the house.  Since the meet will last all day, we will have snacks and will order pizza or sandwiches mid-day for everyone.

Coach Andi will send out more information this week.  Let me know if you have any questions on the parent requirements.
