Please register as soon as possible so the Swim Team Board knows how many spots are available to extend to new non-Genesee Foundation residents. We have received a lot of interest from families who live in Genesee Village, Chief Hosa and other neighboring communities, but can't register them until we confirm GF resident participation first to meet our Foundation requirements for facility usage. We hope to open registration to NEW non-Foundation residents starting early April.

On an administrative note, for new members, once you register, an account will be created in our SwimTopia system. This will be the primary communication method of the team. You will begin to receive team-initiated emails from the Genesee Swim Team (via SwimTopia) email.

First Event: Wine and Cheese Welcome Party

Annual information night and swimsuit try-on is Thursday, April 4 at 5:30 at Vista Clubhouse: Parent board members and coaches will also be on-hand to welcome team members and answer any questions. Bring some friends or neighbors who want to learn more about GMT swim team or lesson program! All while enjoying some wine, cheese, and excitement for the warm weather around the corner!

Christine from the Colorado Swim Shop will also be there help find the right size for this year’s team swimsuit. She will have samples to try-on to ensure you order the right size, and help facilitate ordering a suit. We will also have links on the website to order - we encourage you to purchase the team suit as soon as possible, once you know your size, to take advantage of discount pricing and availability. This year’s suit is the same as last year’s suit - so if you have one that still works, great!

For those that have outgrown last year’s suit and are willing to donate/pass it down to a younger swimmer, let us know at [email protected] and we can arrange - this is always helpful as suit sizing and availability are sometimes difficult.

Meet and Event Schedules for 2024

This year, all teams in our League are required to host 3 home meets. We have the later half of the year, hosting meets at Foothills on the following dates: June 22, 29 and July 6 - mark your calendars!

In addition, there was a shift back a week of our State Meet - meaning our State meet will be mid-July, and our League meet will be a week earlier than normal. Please mark your calendars now! Full event schedule is below:

We need new Meet Officials!

As a parent-run organization, each team is responsible to have volunteers to help with home and away meets, as well as with our League meet. One of these core responsibilities is to have volunteer Officials who help oversee the meet and provide a fair competition for all of our kiddos to swim in.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the sport, provide an important resource, AND get the best view of the meet from the side of the pool! We are looking for a few interested parents who would be willing to train up as an official for the 2024 season. You don’t have to have a swimming background, and there is LOTS of support - it is a fun role! If you are interested in learning more, reach out to us at [email protected]
