I hope everyone had a great first day of regular season practices!  It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood!  A couple of administrative items:

Registration Payments

I will be at evening practice tonight and tomorrow morning, and will be collecting payments from those individuals who need to pay their registration.  

Officials Training

I have not heard if the League has scheduled any other officials' training.  For those interested in becoming an official, please come to evening practice tonight.  I will do a quick overview of the rules and we can watch the kids swim which should help provide context on some of the rules. We use the first couple of meets for new officials to "shadow" returning officials, so this week is a great time if you are interested in that parent role to get involved.  

As a reminder, the League expects each team is to bring at least 4 officials to each swim meet to ensure the meet runs efficiently and parents have enough breaks to watch their kids swim and cover when families are on vacation.  

The State Summer Club Swim Rules can be found at the link below. Most of the time spent in the officials' training session will focused Rule 8 - Swimming Events (starting on page 17). We will review what to look for related to starts, turns and stroke.
